I am currently working on building my cattery and my lineage. At this time, I am not selling breeding cats. All of my cats are sold as pets and will be altered before going home.

Summit Rex does not have a waiting list. After seeing many breeders struggle at going through waiting lists just to find those people have gone elsewhere for a kitten, I have chosen to not have a waiting list. When kittens are born, I will post them on my social media pages (Facebook, instagram and occasionally TikTok). You can follow the kittens progress as they grow and I will do my best to document the progress of them as often as I can. A lot can happen in the first 8-10 weeks of a cats life so I will not allow people to reserve cats until I am ready in order to avoid any heartbreak. This also gives me an opportunity to evaluate personality, type and the potential for their place in my cattery. I will have first choice to hold back kittens as potential breeding cats for my cattery. At around the 10-12 week mark, I will make kittens available for reservation and you can put in your application at that time for the kitten(s) you are interested in.

All Summit Rex breeding cats are tested for 49 genetic diseases through optimal selection. They are also FIV/FeLV tested and their hearts are scanned annually for HCM.

No, I do not ship as it’s just not safe for the kittens. The best way to pick up your new baby is to pick them up in person. This can be accomplished by flying to pick them up and you can return home with them in the cabin with you. I can also help arrange a courier to bring your new kitten to you.

Summit Rex is a very small cattery and plan to have 1-3 litters a year. This is not a business, I do this for the love of the breed and to improve the overall health of the Devon Rex breed. I will not overbreed my cats to produce more kittens than what is healthy for our queens.

IteFor mine and my cats safety, I do not let anyone inside of my home. There have been too many stories of breeders being robbed or even killed while being robbed by people acting as kitten/puppy buyers. This also prevents illnesses from being brought into my cattery. I will happily FaceTime any serious potential buyers, as time allows, in addition to sending photos and videos. Furthermore, I care very much where my kittens go so I do not sell kittens to just anyone.
