Bubbles

Bubbles’ call name was given by her breeder, inspired by the Jimmy Buffett song “Bubble Up”—and it suits her perfectly. Her “official” name is inspired by Mount Silverheels, located just outside Breckenridge, Colorado. Mount Silverheels is a prominent peak named after Silverheels, a dance hall girl from the nearby mining camp of Buckskin Joe. She earned her nickname from the silver shoes she wore while dancing in the halls.

Legend tells that in 1861, a smallpox epidemic struck the camp, and Silverheels used her fortune to help care for the sick, becoming a local hero. As a silver torbie, Bubbles carries the name beautifully—and with her sweet nature and bubbly personality, it couldn’t be more fitting.

Bells

Bells, named after the iconic Maroon Bells, was our very first queen. Now retired, she’s enjoying her best life as a beloved pet.

Cheyenne is named after Cheyenne Mountain, one of the most recognizable and visible peaks here in Colorado Springs. For many years, Cheyenne Mountain played a vital role in the United States’ defense system as the home of NORAD. True to her namesake, Cheyenne is the ruler of the house—always keeping a watchful eye over everything.

She has a strong yet sweet personality that makes her truly special. Now spayed and enjoying her well-earned pet life, Cheyenne happily reigns over the Summit house.
